Prince William drives his new bride from Buckingham Palace to Clarence House in his father’s Aston Martin - with Sea King helicopter overhead.

Prince William and Kate Middleton now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, delighted the thousands of well-wishers still lining the royal wedding route between Buckingham Palace and Clarence House with their surprise appearance.

The Prince drove a blue convertible Aston Martin, belonging to his father the Prince of Wales, which sported the number plate ‘Just wed’ as well as balloons and tin cans attached to the bumper.

Rather than running on petrol, the classic car which was presented to Prince Charles by the Queen on his 21st birthday, has been converted to run on wine.
